Glitter, Drama, Action!

     Born in Cuernavaca, the city of eternal spring, Alejandra Caletti is a Mexican soprano with international training in Russia and the United Kingdom, whose artistic approach transitions effortlessly between opera and pop. Her vocal versatility, stage charisma, and passion for music have led her to perform at cultural forums, festivals, and media outlets in Mexico, Europe, and Asia, consolidating a career that has already garnered more than 30 national and international awards.

 

Her musical journey began at a very young age, when she discovered the magic of voices in Disney films and the ballads of Céline Dion. What began as admiration soon became a vocation.

 

It was thanks to the encouragement and confidence of her first singing teachers, Emily Israel and Rose Mary Alvino, that she discovered that her voice had a particular potential for opera singing. This discovery led her to embark on a musical journey that began in Russia, where she earned her Bachelor of Music with a specialization in classical singing from the Kazan State Conservatory, under the teaching of Ekaterina A. Leyder.

 

Later, she continued her professional training in the United Kingdom, completing the ISP Advanced Master's program at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she studied with renowned soprano Teresa Cahill. There, she performed roles such as the Princess in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges. These experiences enriched not only her vocal technique but also her artistic and stage vision.

 

One of the most significant achievements of her time in Russia was her bachelor's thesis, entitled "The Mariachi Genre in the Context of Mexican Musical Culture," which became the first full-length research project on the subject written in Russian, with a 96.71% originality rate. This project reflects her commitment and desire to share Mexican culture abroad.​

Versatile by nature, Alejandra has also ventured into pop singing and is currently working on her first studio EP, a deeply personal project she is developing at Foráneos Music in Mexico City. From this recording, she has already released two singles: "Cartas al Fuego" and "MAGNETISMO", which fuses sensitivity, vocal power, and an authentic artistic identity.

 

Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2019 State Youth Award (Promotion of Art and Culture category). She has been a special guest at events such as TEDx and has opened concerts for various artists; one of whom she remembers with special fondness is the late maestro Armando Manzanero. She has also collaborated with foundations and beauty pageants. On television, she has participated in programs such as The Voice Mexico and the Netflix reality show Love Is Blind México.

In addition to her performing career, Alejandra has brought her voice to socially impactful spaces, offering concerts in foster homes and participating in events benefiting orphaned children in Russia and Mexico, convinced that music can be a true musical embrace for those who need it most.

 

Currently, Alejandra is expanding her artistic practice by venturing into musical theater and acting. Although this is a new field, she approaches it with the same dedication and discipline that characterizes her career. Increasingly committed to exploring new performing languages, she seeks to integrate her vocal technique with emotional interpretation to create memorable characters.
